It's starting to hit me. I mean really, hit me. In only 6 days, I'll be a college graduate. Walking across the stage to receive my B.A. degree!
I've been finding plenty of things to keep me occupied until then, of course. Today I finished off my American Environmental Studies final capstone tonight, worked on a few art designs, and worked on a charcoal piece of a Norwegian relative - a good way to keep me busy in the studio post-show opening! It's titled: "Norwegian Grace":

I had my student life exit interview on Friday, which went really well. Tuesday welcomes two Financial Aid exit interviews, wind lesson juries, and final touches on my art portfolio and Shakespeare project, both due Wednesday.
Wednesday concerns my senior show tear-down and gallery patch-up, which hopefully shouldn't take too long. From there my main focus will be thesis revision and final portfolio preparation for my American Environment Studies class.
Friday, the Class of '12 has graduation rehearsal, which is followed by (for me) a final field trip for A.E.S. class, followed by a final Wind Symphony rehearsal for President Robert Alsop's inauguration (the 16th President of Waldorf College)!
Saturday calls for Baccalaureate, followed by a luncheon for graduates and families, and then Commencement ceremonies at 2:00pm at the John K. Hanson Fieldhouse, Waldorf College. Afterwards I'll be running back to my residence hall, cleaning, packing, and leaving Forest City for the last time!
Yep. That's my week. One day at a time.
May 10th is Holden Village, but that's a whole other post.
Peace,
Dean
